He was also a devoted beachcomber, seeking beauty and peace along the South Carolina shore. After retirement, Charles, alongside his wife, danced days away with their shag club and chased adventure as acting extras in several movie productions.

He enjoyed volunteering with the Murrells Inlet Garden City Fire Department as well as Brookgreen Gardens. Charles served as a liaison for public health with Waccamaw Watershed Academy, collecting water samples for environmental monitoring. He was a member of Belin United Methodist Church in Murrells Inlet and former member of Chapin United Methodist Church.

He retired from the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice in Columbia, SC. He is also survived by his sister-in-Law, Debra Joy of Chapin, SC nieces Heather Ann Joy Quilal-Ian and her husband, Jesse, Summer Laine Speight and her husband, Mark a nephew, James Albert Joy, IV as well as many grandnieces and grandnephews.Ĭharles was a graduate of USC with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He is survived by two brothers, Robert Leonard Pinson of Sacramento, CA and Michael Blair Pinson of Powder Springs, GA sister-in-law, Karen Pinson nephews, Joseph, Sean Phillip, Jeffrey, and Robert and nieces, Marissa, Lori, Christi, Missy and Patricia.


Pinson two brothers, Edward Martin Pinson and Franklin Pinson as well as a niece, Danielle. In addition to his parents, he is reunited in passing with his wife, Elaine K. He was born Apin Atlanta, Georgia, son of the late Robert Houston Pinson and Anne Belle Hawkins Pinson. Charles Aaron Pinson, 78, of Murrells Inlet, SC passed away on Thursday, at his residence.
